DESCRIPTION
& MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position is responsible for the supervision
and direction of staff, including counseling, accounting and case manager
functions. Establish and maintain work
standards and coordinate work assignments.
Make Housing Choice Voucher and Public Housing eligibility decisions
and are responsible for the management of the client certification functions in
the Silver Spring Customer Service Center Office. Will plan and manage the daily
organizational structure of the work unit in a productive and efficient
manner. Responsible for coordinating
all programs and services provided by a work team by providing excellent
quality control and efficiency. Will
provide technical advice, support, and serve as back-up to the Center
Director. Will make certain that
operations are in HUD program compliance and for on-site quality control of a
work team. Requires
a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Admin. or related field and
a min. of four years of progressive experience in subsidized housing and two
years of supervisory experience, including working with union personnel. Extensive knowledge of affordable housing
products and related services. Must have knowledge of Federal, State &
local laws & regulations pertaining to public housing, ability to
communicate well and to speak effectively in public. Good computer skills needed. Excellent interpersonal skills and the
ability to interact with people of varied backgrounds. An equivalent combination of education and experience may
be accepted. Low income
residents in HOC
conducts criminal background checks, employment reference checks and, where
applicable, reviews driving records in determining suitability for
employment. Selected applicants will
be required to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Employment is contingent upon drug and
alcohol test results. |
