POSITION TITLE:

Accounting Clerk I

Finance – Accounts Payable

Kensington, MD

 

DESCRIPTION & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position is responsible for accurate and timely maintenance of assigned accounts in the General Accounting department.  Duties include performing all routine functions related to accounts payable - processing vendor invoices for payment, mailing checks, vendor and staff interaction, weekly reports, file maintenance and special assignments.

 

Requires a high school diploma/equivalent and a minimum of two years accounting or bookkeeping experience with a computerized accounting system.  Accounts Payable experience a plus.  Entry level Word and Excel skills and the ability to input data accurately and quickly.  Access skills preferred. Must be organized, dependable and detail oriented. Good oral and written communication skills.  Excellent customer service skills. Ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks is essential to the position.
