POSITION TITLE:

Lead Trades Maintenance Worker

East Deer Park, Gaithersburg, MD

 

DESCRIPTION & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position is responsible for maintaining the scattered sites properties by providing maintenance related skills and administrative duties to support the turn-over requirements of vacant units.  The position will support the Property Manager in decision making situations to maintain an efficient turn-over operation requirement.  The Lead Trades mechanic will be responsible for guidelines that are in place which cover the SOP’s and weekly reports requirements.  This work requires decision making experience in analyzing possible corrective measures to ensure current assignment is resolved.

 

Requires high school or equivalent and a minimum of four years housing/building maintenance experience.  Must have working knowledge of HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, plumbing and electrical systems.  CFC certification required or the ability to obtain certificate.  Must have the ability to lead and motivate others and work independently and as part of a team.  Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.  Must be able to keep and research records, lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work both inside and outside.  Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.  Bi-lingual a plus.
