POSITION TITLE: |
Resident Counselor III – Youth
Services HOC Family Resource Centers |

DESCRIPTION & MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: This position will develop, implement and evaluate
programs for children and teenagers living in subsidized housing in Requires Bachelor’s degree in Social
Work, Counseling, Recreation or related field (MSW preferred) and a minimum
of three years experience. Must enjoy working
with children and teens. Experience
working with children in a non-traditional setting is a plus. Ability to relate well to people with
diverse backgrounds and cultures. Must
possess excellent oral and written communication skills, have the ability to
work independently and exercise good judgment; good computer skills (Word
& Excel), a good driving record and transportation required. Must be willing to work flexible hours
including some evenings and weekends.
Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus. An equivalent combination of
education and experience may be accepted.
Low income residents in HOC conducts criminal background
checks, employment reference checks, and where applicable, reviews driving
records in determining suitability for employment. Selected applicants will be required to
submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Employment is contingent upon drug and
alcohol test results. |
