DESCRIPTION
& MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This is a professional supervisory position responsible
for the effective operation of HOC managed communities including federally
assisted low income housing. This
position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the
operation of the assigned properties, maintenance of the properties and for
monitoring occupancy rates and turn around times on vacant units. Programs include Public Housing, Section 8
New Construction and Section 236 Multi-family. It requires a solid background in standard
property management skills such as budget preparation and execution, implementing
and monitoring policies and procedures, control of operating expenses,
contract administration and supervision of staff. The personal relationship skills to lead
staff and work with residents are critical. Requires a BS/BA Degree Business
Administration or related field and at least five years of experience in property
management to include supervision of staff.
A high priority will be placed on experience in low income housing,
and knowledge of HUD regulations. Must
have thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of property
management including physical and mechanical systems, interior and exterior
repairs and experience in planning and implementing programs. Ability
to communicate with others tactfully, equitably and effectively both orally
and in writing is required. An equivalent combination of
education and experience may be accepted.
Low income residents in HOC
conducts criminal background checks, employment reference checks, and where
applicable, reviews driving records in determining suitability for
employment. Selected applicants will
be required to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Employment is contingent upon drug and
alcohol test results. |
