POSITION TITLE: |
Trades Maintenance Worker II |
|

DESCRIPTION & MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: This position is responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of
HOC housing units. Will maintain,
repair and perform alterations to heating and air conditioning systems. Correct electrical, plumbing, carpentry,
appliance and minor structural problems.
Check and repair pipes, pumps, boilers and furnaces. Requires high school or
equivalent and a minimum of three years housing/building maintenance
experience. Must have working
knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, and the ability to work
independently or as a part of a team.
CFC certification required or the ability to obtain certificate. Willingness to share on-call duty for
emergency maintenance necessary. Must
be able to speak, read, and write English.
This position requires the ability to keep simple records, lift heavy
objects, climb ladders and work both inside and outside. Valid driver's license and good driving
record required.
An
equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Low income residents in HOC conducts criminal background checks,
employment reference checks, and where applicable, reviews driving records in
determining suitability for employment.
Selected applicants will be required to submit to pre-employment drug
and alcohol screening. Employment is
contingent upon drug and alcohol test results. |
