POSITION TITLE: |
Program Specialist Resident

DESCRIPTION
& MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position is
responsible for promoting and marketing the Rent Supplemental Program which
will serve approximately 350 households among County landlords, property
owners and management firms. Provides
technical assistance regarding eligibility criteria, certification process,
leases and other program requirements to prospective and existing landlords,
property owners and management firms.
Responds to inquiries from landlords and receives monthly reports and
conducts a thorough analysis for accuracy and compliance with program
eligibility policies and contract provisions.
Conducts face-to-face contacts with program participants to ensure
their understanding of the program its requirements and determines
participant eligibility. Establishes
legal agreements for new property owners.
Prepare monthly vendor payments to landlords. Review revenue and expenditures to ensure
budgetary integrity. Prepare narrative
and monthly computerized status reports as required for submittal to various
agencies. Requires
BA degree and three years experience in subsidized or property
management. Must possess good basic
math skills, good driving record and ability to communicate orally and in
writing. Excellent interpersonal
skills. Must be computer proficient in
Word, Excel and other software. An equivalent combination
of education and experience may be accepted.
Low income residents in This is a One-Year Term
position with benefits. Position
continuance is based on funding. HOC
conducts criminal background checks, employment reference checks, and where
applicable, reviews driving records in determining suitability for
employment. Selected applicants will
be required to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Employment is contingent upon drug and
alcohol test results. |
