  • Take 495 to Route 185/Connecticut Avenue North towards Kensington (Exit 33)
  • Stay on Connecticut Avenue approximately 1.5 miles and turn left at light (Knowles Avenue).
  • Take the next left (Detrick Avenue).
  • HOC is the old school building on the right.

  • At exit 11, take Ramp (RIGHT) onto SR-124 [Montgomery Village Ave]
  • Turn RIGHT (South-East) onto SR-355 [N Frederick Ave]
  • Turn LEFT (North-East) onto Lakeforest Blvd
From Shady Grove Metro (Red Line):
Take Metro Ride-On Bus 55 (to Germantown), 61 (to Germantown) or 59 (to Montgomery Village) to stop at Odendhal Ave. and N. Frederick Ave. Walk north one block and turn right on Lakeforest Blvd.

From Silver Spring Metro Station:
Take 70 Bus towards Half & O Street SW
Arrive at Georgia Ave & Bonifant Street
  • Walk a short distance E on Bonifant St.
  • Turn right on Georgia Ave.
  • Walk a short distance S on Georgia Ave.

  • Stay on Connecticut Avenue approximately 1.5 miles and turn left at light (Knowles Avenue).
  • Once on Knowles Avenue, turn left into driveway of building (just before Detrick Avenue).
The Knowles Avenue Office is located across the street from the HOC Main Office.

Our Development staff is on the first floor and additional Resident Service counselors are on the second floor, in Suite 206.
