Kensington Park
Kensington Park provides housing for a frail elderly population. This community offers 70 units of
independent living and 140 units of Assisted Living in Victorian style residences situated in a quiet wooded area of Kensington,
Maryland. Developed by the Housing Opportunities Commission, Kensington Park was designed to provide housing with services at
market rates as well as for those with more moderate incomes. Currently 20% of the residents receive financial assistance.
The three separate buildings on the campus each provide comfortable parlors, quiet tea rooms,
libraries, sun porches, verandas and fireplaces. A wide range of events and activities are provided in both independent and
assisted living. A special program is offered for residents with dementia.
