a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization—it's easy!
- Call 800/835-3821 if it’s a 1990 model or younger
- Ask Vehicles for Change to pick up your vehicle (regardless of whether it’s drivable or not!)
- Vehicles for Change will provide you with tax deduction documentation up to the fair market value of the vehicle (the value may be assigned according to the Kelly Blue Book.
Your contribution will help low-income working families with housing subsidies from Montgomery County’s public housing agency, the Housing Opportunities Commission (HOC). These vehicles will be purchased by eligible Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program participants for a nominal amount. Your donation will help assist these low-income, hard working families who are striving to achieve their goal of economic self-sufficiency. It will also enhance their quality of life by facilitating access to medical appointments, children’s after school enrichment activities and sports/recreational programs. This exciting new project is possible thanks to a partnership between HOC’s non-profit, Housing Opportunities Community Partners, Inc., and Vehicles for Change, with support from Precision CertiPro Warehouse and Community Development Block Grant funds from the Department of Housing & Community Development!
