The Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS) is a career development program that assists HOC residents of Public housing and HCV to achieve self-sufficiency over a five to seven year period toward ending dependency on welfare assistance. HOC’s FSS Program began in 1993.
HOC is participating in a national study of the Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS). The FSS Program will not change, but in 2014 the way to enroll will be different. All applicants will be placed into a lottery where they will have a 50/50 chance of getting into FSS. Please contact FSS at FSSRSVP@hocmc.org or at 240-627-9781 to be invited to an FSS Orientation.
