Homeownership Programs for
HOC Subsidized Residents

Who is a subsidized resident?

A HOC resident is someone who lives in a property owned or managed by the Housing Opportunities Commission OR Someone who is in one of HOC’s Rental Programs.

Programs Available

HOC/HOP (Housing Opportunities Commission Homeownership Program)

The HOC/HOP program is designed to prepare and assist HOC residents in becoming first time homebuyers. HOC/HOP also provides homes for eligible HOC residents to purchase.

Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program

This program offers eligible participants in BOTH the HCVH Program (Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program) and the FSS (Family Self Sufficiency) Programs an opportunity to own their own home using their Housing Choice Voucher.

This Program is currently CLOSED

Closing Cost Assistance for HOC Residents

HALF (Homeownership Assistance Loan Fund)
This closing cost program assists HOC residents with closing cost loans up to $3,000 at an interest rate of 4.5%, 5.5% or 6.5%

HOC Residents are also eligible to participate in the other HOC Homeowner Mortgage Programs
