Builder recognized for work at Dale Drive project

Kem Snow of Ridan Builders received an award from the Home Builders Care Foundation in recognition of his work overseeing the renovation project at the Dale Drive Apartments in Silver Spring.

The Tom Sawyer Award, presented in recognition of significant in-kind donations to HBCF’s shelter-related projects, was presented recently as part of the association’s 2007 Community Service Awards. The award noted Snow’s ‘‘dedication and commitment to personally overseeing the extensive renovation.”

The Dale Drive Apartments renovation, a collaborative effort with Montgomery County’s Housing Opportunities Commission and the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless, was the largest construction project undertaken by the foundation in 2007. The foundation is a nonprofit community outreach program affiliated with the Silver Spring-based Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association.
