Renovations Underway at Older Public Housing Properties

August 6, 2009 - HOC has begun renovating and rehabbing older public housing residences. ARRA funds are being used to replace roofs, install new kitchens

and baths and replace carpeting at many of its older public housing properties.

The pictures below were taken at one of HOC’s public housing homes that is located in a development in Germantown. Known as a "scattered site" public housing unit,

this townhome is an MPDU (Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit) that was purchased by HOC in 1983.  It needed a new washer and dryer, new kitchen cabinets and

new fixtures in the bathrooms.
