HOC residents and those that receive rental assistance from HOC may occasionally have questions regarding HOC policies, procedures and services. We hope to provide this information for you on these pages. In addition, we encourage you to send any questions or suggestions to us about how we may improve.

If you need to visit HOC headquarters in Kensington, please note that walk-in hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays - Fridays.

Walk-in hours for HOC's Gaithersburg Customer Service Center (101 Lakeforest Blvd., Gaithersburg) are: Mondays - Fridays: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Phone: 240-773-8805

Walk-in hours for HOC's Silver Spring Customer Service Center (8241 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring) are: Mondays - Fridays, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m; Phone: 240-773-8806

Attention Graduating High School Seniors: If you plan to attend college next fall, and your family is either receiving Public Housing or a Housing Choice Voucher through HOC, you are eligible to apploy for the Tony Davis Memorial Scholarship. Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program
This program is available to both Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher participants. It helps families achieve economic self-sufficiency over a five- to seven- year period. Families enroll to gain career skills and/or education in order to improve their employment and economic independence.

Employment Initiative Program
Assists HOC residents in obtaining skills and experiences necessary for successful employment.
