The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) is committed to providing customers with the resources necessary for them to remain safely and stably housed. To that end, we maintain a Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Policy pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (Public Law 113-4, 127 Stat. 54, approved March 7, 2013, at 127 Stat. 101) and more generally set forth in the policies and procedures of the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) with regard to VAWA below.
If you are an HOC customer and you or someone in your household is experiencing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking, regardless of sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation, please contact our Call Center at 240.627.9400 or help@hocmc.org. Please indicate you are seeking assistance regarding VAWA and ask to be connected to Bonnie Hodge in HOC’s Housing Resources Division.
You may view a copy of HUD’s final VAWA rule here. Additionally, HOC must make a copy of HUD’s VAWA regulations available to you if you ask to see them.
