Job Description:

Provide management oversight of the Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) Program ensuring that Housing Choice Voucher Participants achieve economic self-sufficiency. Organize recruitment efforts ensuring that the agency maintains the required number of enrollees. Supervise, direct, and manage the FSS staff. Develop and maintain educational training programs 'including but not limited to job readiness and life skills.

Develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external agency partners to provide resources, training and mentorship. Provide case coordination oversight. Conceptualize, design and implement methods to track participant progress and remove barriers to success. Prepare timely submission of financial reports, program reports, and grant packages as required. Oversee HCV administrative requirements for FSS participants, including recertification activity and contract execution. Budget, plan and coordinate annual FSS graduation ceremony.

This is a full-time one-year term position, continuation is based on funding, and funding has been continuous.

Preferred Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires B.S. in Social work, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in case management, program management, and administration with at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of low-Income housing programs preferred.
  • Must have the ability to relate well to people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Must possess excellent assessment, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Must have the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must have good computer skills (Word & Excel).
  • Must have working knowledge of community resources.
  • Candidates must obtain certification in the Housing Choice Voucher program within six-months of hire.
  • Spanish fluency desired.
