Job Description:

This is a technical position responsible for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a variety of information technologies. These include hardware, such as desktop and laptop computers and other peripherals, as well as software, such as operating systems, productivity software, and SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace. This position is responsible for monitoring the helpdesk phones and trouble ticket queue as well as assisting end-users with issues they encounter and tracking resolution through the Help Desk. This position is also responsible for providing desk-side support, which may require off-site travel. This individual will assist with IT projects in a collaborative team environment, and all work must be carried out with a focus on customer service, clear communication, and a friendly and helpful attitude when interacting with staff, peers, vendors, and other customer. This position may also require after hours support for IT projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience in PC hardware, software support, and help desk operation, and must have the following:
  • Skill in the installation, testing, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and correcting of hardware and software problems.
  • Ability to support remote end-users, including the support of mobile devices, remote control solutions, and remote connectivity platforms.
  • Ability to use and interpret technical manuals, conduct research using internet and other resources, and work independently to research technical resolution.
  • Considerable knowledge of information technology principles and practices, including knowledge of personal computer hardware and software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers and external service providers.
  • A+ or other certifications related to IT support a plus.
