Job Description:

 

This is a professional position responsible for all Division training in customer service, program procedures and practices. The position conducts new staff member orientation and refresher trainings in customer service, specific program requirements, technology, and community resources. This position requires knowledge of the Federal, State and local laws and regulations to administer the Housing Choice Voucher and Project Based Voucher Programs. The incumbent is required to provide ongoing training to employees about system data changes, and special projects. The position requires the ability to develop training curriculum regarding programs and services and to effectively teach others. The individual will provide materials, resources, utilize surveys, and will respond, with programs, to training needs within the Division. The position will work closely with IT, and the Division Management Team to ascertain new training opportunities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Business Administration or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Requires three years of progressive experience in training or teaching adults, knowledge of curriculum development, presentation experience and resource development.
  • Knowledge of the Housing Choice Voucher, Public Housing and/or other affordable housing programs required
  • Experience with employee mentoring programs is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people of varied backgrounds.
  • Marketing and training experience.
  • Must have ability to use computer software.
