Job Description:

This position will provide a range of direct and/or specialized information, counseling and referral services designed to assist HOC residents and HCV participants with a broad range of issues. Will assess the level of need for the purpose of identifying resources and services to support the individual in the community; will provide brief intervention/counseling to promote sustainability/self-sufficiency. Will develop service plans, facilitate in-person and virtual workshops, etc. Conduct community needs assessments and track data. Design and implement in-person and virtual programs for workshops for adults and youth. Assist with virtual and in-person youth clubs/programs at HUB or off-site and/or special projects (i.e., rent relief projects, vaccine clinics, etc.). Special projects may add to normal workload.

Preferred Skills:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field (MSW preferred).
• Three years of related work experience in social work or counseling field.
• Must have experience in working with culturally, economically diverse and high-risk populations.
• Must have strong written, oral communication and organizational skills.
• Experience managing and tracking budgets.
• Candidate should be familiar with virtual platforms such as Google Suites, Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• This position prefers a bilingual (English/Spanish) candidate with a working knowledge of community resources.
