Job Description:

Salary Commensurate with Experience

This is a professional position which involves coordination of a wide variety of services to support property operations with primary focus on community relations and homeowner associations (HOAs) to ensure a good-neighbor relationship with communities. It involves functioning as a liaison between HOC residents, HOA Boards, Resident Associations, inspectors and contractors. This position requires coordination of HOC representation at HOA, community, board and tenant association meetings. Will determine validity of complaints, resolve violations, address community concerns and provide written responses as appropriate. Will provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers. During renovations of HOC properties, employee will ensure that proposals are submitted timely to HOAs and specifications meet established architectural guidelines. Employee will maintain an accurate and up-to-date directory of HOA documents and by-laws, including a schedule of HOA dues, and be responsible for preparation of packets for tenant conferences, board presentations and lease enforcement actions. Work may involve examination of details, investigation and participation and uniform application of regulations and procedures to ensure compliance with lease and HOA guidelines. Will create work orders for required repairs and will work in various databases to track program related information.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Two years’ experience in property management and/or community associations.
  • Knowledge of current local landlord/tenant laws.
  • Ability to understand and interpret resident leases, complex HOA documents and architectural guidelines
  • Ability to conduct inspections of unit interiors, exteriors and common areas.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills within culturallydiverse populations with the ability to exercise good judgement and must be courteous when dealing with the public.
  • Ability to prepare reports and deliver presentations to HOAs, community organizations and boards.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and computer software applications, preferably Yardi
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record and own transportation required.
  • Good record keeping skills required.
