NathanBovelle

Nathan E. Bovelle is the Chief Maintenance Officer of the Housing Opportunities Commission (HOC). Mr. Bovelle joined HOC in March 2020.  

Prior to joining HOC, Mr. Bovelle worked as a consultant in the housing industry, assisting businesses and landlords by creating efficiencies in processes, policies, procedures and organizational structure. During this time, he provided consulting services to the Maintenance Division at HOC.  

Previously, Mr. Bovelle was the Deputy Executive Director for Operations for the District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA), where he oversaw DCHA’s $70 million public housing program, consisting of more than 8,000 public housing apartments and townhomes in 48 locations across D.C. Mr. Bovelle managed a staff of more than 470 DCHA employees, with more than three hundred employees in the maintenance mechanical operations and warehouse divisions.

Prior to DCHA, Mr. Bovelle worked at GEICO Insurance Company for 12 years. There, he served as the Co-Chair for the Social Responsibility Committee. In this capacity, he helped facilitate public/private partnerships with GEICO and D.C. Public Schools. He also worked as a social worker with Progressive Life Center and Family and Medical Counseling Services. 

Mr. Bovelle holds a B.A. in Business Administration and a Master of Social Work from Howard University. He enjoys doing home improvements, practicing martial arts, serving others and spending time with his family.
