What pest management plan is in place and how will it be communicated to residents during the move?

Currently, property management contracts with a pest control service to visit the property two times per month.  Approximately 12 units are treated at each visit in addition to the common areas and any special requests are addressed as needed. This service will remain during the renovation with continued focus on unrenovated units and common areas. Details about those activities will continue to be communicated via Rent Cafe and resident newsletters.

Please notify The Metropolitan management office of any existing pest control issues prior to your unit’s renovation so they can be addressed before construction begins.

Pre-Construction Measures

• Comprehensive inspection of all units and common areas before work begins to identify and document existing infestations
• Treating any active infestations before construction starts so that renovation activity does not displace pests into adjacent units

Measures During Construction

• Sealing gaps, cracks, and penetrations as work progresses; renovation creates an opportunity to eliminate the harborage points pests rely on
• Daily cleaning of work areas and debris and removal and storage of waste materials in sealed containers
• Inspecting materials and appliance deliveries before bringing them into the building
