Designed to be the first “Missing Middle”’ pilot project prior to county-wide implementation, this development illustrates how a mix of housing types can be implemented in a compact, infill setting that is compatible with adjacent single-family detached housing.
The Sandy Spring Missing Middle development comprises an infill, residential development with up to 18 new homes, streetscape improvements (including a shared use path on MD Route 108), additional open space, up to 33 parking spaces and private amenities on just over an acre of land. The development will provide a minimum of 25% MPDUs across different housing typologies in accordance with the Master Plan’s goal of providing infill housing opportunities for all ages and income levels.
Closing and the start of construction are expected in 2025.
