The new Garnkirk Farms Apartments will provide affordable rental opportunities located near the COMSAT site, Clarksburg Outlets, and central Clarksburg and in close proximity to the proposed 355 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Route. They are being designed to be LEED Platinum and Net Zero Energy Ready with universal design for accessibility for all residents.

Garnkirk Farms is a community of 392 residential dwelling units (including a minimum of 12.5% MPDUs) consisting of 18 single-family detached units, 190 townhouses, and 184 multi-family units. The multifamily component of the community is the final phase of the development, which will provide high-quality mixed-income housing, which is limited in this part of the County.

The proposed 184-unit mixed-income family rental property will be located at Shawnee Lane and Observation Drive in Clarksburg, Montgomery County, Maryland. The property will be comprised of one, two- and three-bedroom garden-style units. The development will operate as a mix of market-rate and affordable units. The project will offer garden-style units within a four-story, elevator-served building and 254 space parking structure.
