HOC’s headquarters at 1328 Fenwick Lane is a nine-story, 79,000-square-foot technology-enabled, energy efficient building in the heart of Silver Spring. It provides flexible and shared office space for more than 200 employees, includes a host of common area staff amenities, a rooftop indoor/outdoor employee lounge/event space and houses the new Commission Hearing Room, site of monthly HOC Commissioners’ and Committee meetings. The building’s street level incorporates an additional 3,000 square feet of commercial space.
The location is equally accessible via mass transit, driving, biking or walking. HOC’s corporate offices are an integral part of the redevelopment of the adjacent Elizabeth Square complex, which comprises affordable properties Alexander House (multifamily apartments), The Leggett (senior apartment homes) and the Silver Spring Recreation and Aquatic Center (SSRAC). Also on that site is HOC’s Elizabeth House affordable apartment building, which currently is being demolished to make way for another HOC affordable property.
