Program Participants will enjoy structured fun-filled summer enrichment program activities to include: arts and crafts, sports, indoor and outdoor activities, and conclude with a field trip to Germantown Soccerplex Waterpark located at 18000 Central Park Circle Boyds, MD 20841. Breakfast, light snacks, and lunch will be provided daily.

The Drone Robotics High School Mash Up program is a week-long robotics and coding experience that offers high school students an assortment of STEM-focused hands-on and engaging activities led by Escape Velocity Academy.
This hands-on creative media program introduces students to the fundamentals of music production, audio engineering, and video production. Participants will learn how to record and mix music, create beats, operate studio equipment, and develop their own creative projects. On the video side, students will explore filming techniques, camera operation, lighting, editing, and content creation for social media and digital platforms. The program encourages teamwork, creativity, and technical skill development while giving students real-world experience in the music and media industries.

Families will first gather to listen to a presentation lead by an Educational Specialist from TRIO Educational Opportunity Center at Montgomery College. The presentation will be centered around education and tuition services. Following the presentation, families will take part in a Back-to-School giveaway where they will receive backpacks for the upcoming school year. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. When registering, please let us know how many children will be attending with you, and the grade they will be entering this school year.

An ongoing yearly bingo event series for Forest Oak Towers residents that occurs twice a month on Thursdays. This event promotes socialization for older adults while also having fun, refreshments, and prizes.
Do you need know how to find and navigate available resources? Resident Services will host monthly resource sharing sessions monthly. This is an opportunity for participants to learn about available resources in Montgomery County and at HOC to include food resources, wellness, financial assistance resources for emergencies, employment, tuition assistance, etc. The sessions are offered on the third Tuesday of each month in the evening. Staff will provide information on how to navigate services. This will also provide a space for participants to inquire about their resource needs. In addition, this will be an opportunity for participants to learn about the services offered by the Resident Services Division. You must register online to participate. Registered participants will receive virtual instructions.

Manna Food Center Pop Up Pantry will provide food distribution and resources to residents free of charge. Residents are encouraged to register in advance to ensure that there are adequate resources available for everyone. The goal is to assist with food insecurity by providing food assistance and resources that are available in the county. Come out and get what you need.

Maryland Legal Aid is hosting a series of free, educational webinars for residents served by the Housing Opportunities Commission (HOC) of Montgomery County. These sessions are designed to empower community members with vital legal knowledge, protect tenant rights, and help navigate complex family and civil court systems. This session: Learn the fundamentals of Maryland landlord-tenant laws. This session covers lease agreements, security deposit returns, repair requests, and how to handle landlord disputes.
