The Housing Opportunities Commission (HOC) Financial Literacy Counselor provides families with the tools and skills needed to help improve their overall financial well-being. The financial literacy coach:

• Supports customers in developing practical daily management of their finances, including budgeting.
• Helps customers in identifying methods to establish and build savings, checking and investment accounts.
• Engages customers in developing workable financial plans to improve their credit.
• Assists customers with achieving financial stability, including emergency planning.
