Extreme Weather Preparedness
Summer
During stretches of extreme summer heat, especially when outdoor temperatures reach or exceed 100°F, residents may have questions about how their air conditioning system should be performing. Please review this Q&A to learn what’s normal, why you may feel like your air conditioning is not cooling properly and what you can do to help your home cool as effectively as possible.
Winter
When winter weather hits, HOC encourages you to stay safe and informed with the information and resources you need to report issues, review updates on snow plowing procedures and contact utility companies and shelter options for those in need. If you have a non-snow related emergency, call 9-1-1.

Federal Immigration Enforcement Activities
The recent increase in federal government actions in Montgomery County to enforce United States immigration laws has raised questions and concerns among many residents. HOC is updating this webpage on a frequent basis to provide information on resources provided by partners in the county that may be able to provide answers and advice to address many of those concerns.
