Program Description:
The Youth Enrichment Series (YES) program, which will bring a series of after-school enrichment activities to approximately 100 elementary school aged children (grades 3-5) at the sites listed above.

In a six-week “club” setting, contracted professional service providers will conduct structured activities three to five days a week after school from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Each club will focus on various topics including by not limited to, STEM enrichment in robotics, biology and chemistry experiments, social emotional learning activities, life skills, food and nutrition, international cultural arts, and health/wellness. This is an opportunity for participants to learn about available resources in Montgomery County and at HOC including food resources, wellness, financial assistance resources for emergencies, employment, tuition assistance, etc. The sessions are offered on the third Tuesday of each month in the evening. Staff will provide information on how to navigate services. This will also provide a space for participants to inquire about their resource needs. In addition, this will be an opportunity for participants to learn about the services offered by the Resident Services Division. Must register online to participate. Registered participants will receive virtual instructions.

Participants will develop a better understanding of his/her housing program and guidelines and the rights and responsibilities outlined in a lease.  Must register online to participate.  Registered participants will receive virtual instructions.
